Everything that is essential to the performance of the flagship products is retained but trimmed. It is all the uniqueness, innovation, differentiating performance and quality that sets Bella Sound equipment apart from the rest, but at a more affordable price. How do we do it? The answer is in the name. Without removing any of the core technology, we carefully and judiciously simplify in ways that have far more impact on price than on sound or appearance. Bella Sound Essential retains the essence of Bella Sound, 80% of the performance of the parent products, at a price that is as aggressive as its performance.
The universal recognition for need of power conditioning in high-end audio systems left a puzzling question on the table with regard to AC cables: What good does a great power conditioner do the audio system if the AC cable allows re-corruption of the AC after the power conditioner has treated it? This question captures the challenge Bella Sound accepted when we set out to design a great AC cable.
After including all of the technology one would like to see in an AC cable, we went one step beyond. The Bella Sound Kaula 2 AC cable contains a passive power conditioner in the IEC barrel, immediately before the AC power enters the audio component. A combination of quantum power purifiers and passive filtration operate synergistically to protect the audio component from the attacks of loop current noise and signal leakage current contamination (see the Bella Sound Hana Power Conditioner product page for a more detailed explanation of these effects). This is truly “last inch” AC treatment, allowing no further opportunity for noise to ingress. As more components are connected to AC with the Kaula 2 AC cables, the protection from aforementioned contamination is compounded, resulting in increased blackening of the sound stage backdrop, and further focusing of the spatial and temporal nuances of the playback music. All of this is achieved without imparting the slightest coloration or compression of the precious audio signal handled by each system component.

Reviews:
In many cases, as you move down a brand's lineup from its best product, you encounter significant changes; however, I was pleased to conclude that the Kaula 2 Essential is genuinely a scaled-down version of the more expensive Kaula 2. It yields a slight reduction in the quantity of sonic impact but not in the quality. ~ Ken Redmond
